About
Absoulute Audio plus Video is a boutique dealer and integrator of high-performance audio, home theater, and smart home systems, founded by Shayne Tenace and based in Aiken, South Carolina. We bring together decades of experience curating hi-fi systems, immersive home theaters, and smart home solutions — and we don't just sell equipment. We craft experiences that change how you listen, watch, and live.
The showroom

Our dedicated walk-in showroom in downtown Aiken now spans 5,500 square feet. Six demonstration systems play in rooms of genuinely different sizes — from an acoustically treated listening room measuring 18.5 by 38.5 feet to a compact space no bigger than a spare bedroom — so you can hear equipment in a setting that matches the room you actually have.
We are conveniently located just 17 miles from downtown Augusta and 24 miles from Augusta Regional Airport, within easy reach of Columbia, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Charleston. Traveling from farther away? Make it a weekend — Aiken's historic polo fields are close by — and be sure to ask about our travel reimbursement program.
The showroom is open during regular hours and walk-ins are always welcome. We recommend booking an appointment so we can dedicate our full attention to you: your space, your tastes, your plans.
Shayne and the showroom were recently profiled by Aiken City Lifestyle in "Where Sound Becomes an Experience" — the story of the building, the brands, and the belief that music belongs to everyone.
Wherever you are
If you cannot make it in person, we are happy to meet you where you are. We offer private video consultations, and our nationwide concierge service brings our expertise and white-glove support to your door — whether you are here in the Southeast or across the country.
About Shayne
Shayne Tenace is a seasoned professional with decades of leadership experience and a proven record of delivering complex projects. That is the resume version. Here is the real story, in his words:
I have been into music and electronics my whole life. In high school I toured Europe as a trombone player in a wind ensemble and spent weekends DJ'ing events — early experiences that taught me how powerful music can be in bringing people together.
My first audio customer was 31 years ago, while I was still in the Navy — and I still talk with Gerry, because great gear is nice, but great relationships matter more.
Most of my career was spent in nuclear power, where I led teams of over 1,400 people and delivered multi-billion-dollar projects. All the while, I was quietly building and selling high-performance audio systems for customers across the country, because sharing great music has always been my passion.
Now at 57, I have made audio my full-time work. As "Pop-Pop," adventurer, powerlifter, and lifelong music lover, I design systems that bring the full emotional impact of music and film into your home.
