The X-A160 EVO is a stereo power amplifier delivering 160 watts per channel into 8 ohms from a Class AB output stage using NJW0281G and NJW0302G high-current power transistors, the same devices as the MAA 1000. A rear switch engages High Bias operation, running the first watts in Class A before the stage switches automatically to Class AB. The chassis is rigid and compartmentalized to shield the circuits from one another, a 700VA toroidal transformer supplies the power stages, and a VU-meter dominates the front panel. Balanced and unbalanced inputs accept any preamplifier.
