The X-A220 EVO is a monophonic power amplifier delivering 220 watts into 8 ohms, designed to be used in pairs — with the X-P700 preamplifier as its natural partner. A 700VA toroidal transformer and four 10,000uF/80V filter capacitors feed a triple push-pull of complementary NJW0281G/NJW0302G transistors in Class AB, and a High Bias switch runs the first watt in Class A before the stage switches over automatically. The steel chassis is compartmentalized by function, its height set by the generously dimensioned heatsink, behind a 10mm methacrylate front panel with a large VU-meter.
