The X-P700 is a dual-mono stereo preamplifier for systems built around separate power amplifiers, successor to the X-P500. Two output schematics are selectable: a Class A mode using bipolars in a double cascade circuit, and a Discrete mode based on a JFET differential with current mirror in Class AB. Nine analog inputs include one balanced line and an adjustable MM/MC phono stage, digital sources reach a Burr Brown PCM1796 24-bit/192kHz DAC through optical, coaxial, and XMOS USB-B inputs, and outputs pair RCA with balanced XLR plus a high-pass output and two subwoofer outputs. Two toroidal transformers feed the double-mono regulated supply, and dual independent headphone amplifiers offer gain and impedance settings.
