The C55 is McIntosh's flagship solid state preamplifier, succeeding the multi-award-winning C53. Sixteen inputs include two phono inputs configurable for moving coil or moving magnet cartridges with gain adjustable in 6dB steps from 40dB to 64dB, and seven digital inputs in the DA2 Digital Audio Module with an audio-only HDMI ARC connection. An eight-band analog equalizer, output meters and a subwoofer output serve system flexibility.
