The CS7500 combines a McIntosh solid state analog preamplifier with a built-in network streamer in a single chassis. Qobuz Connect, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Apple AirPlay, Google Cast and Bluetooth with aptX HD and aptX Adaptive stream directly to the unit, and it carries both Roon Ready and Roon Tested certification. Six analog inputs include a phono stage configurable for moving coil or moving magnet cartridges, and seven digital inputs, among them USB accepting 32-bit/384kHz PCM and DSD256 and an audio-only HDMI ARC connection for the TV, feed an 8-channel 32-bit Quad Balanced DAC. A second pair of variable outputs can be dedicated to one or two subwoofers.
