The MC2301 is a 300-watt vacuum tube monoblock and the first McIntosh tube amplifier to use the Quad Balanced design, which cancels virtually all noise and distortion in the audio signal. The patented Unity Coupled Circuit output transformer makes the full 300 watts available to 2, 4 or 8 ohm speakers. Two rows of output tubes flank the blue meter on a polished stainless steel chassis with brushed aluminum handles.
