The MT2 is McIntosh's entry into precision vinyl playback, arriving virtually ready to use with a Sumiko Moonstone moving magnet cartridge fitted to a dural-aluminum tonearm with sapphire and ceramic bearings. The dynamically balanced polyoxymethylene platter turns on a polished, tempered steel shaft in sintered bronze bushings, driven by a servo-controlled DC motor at 33-1/3 and 45 rpm. A subtle green glow marks its McIntosh heritage.
