The ULTRA.9 builds on the ULTRA.7 with upgraded crossover components, more advanced drivers, and MasterBuilt ULTRA internal cabling, Von Schweikert's proprietary wire formulation. A ribbon super-tweeter extends the highs beyond audibility, while a rear-mounted ribbon super-tweeter and a horn-loaded ambient tweeter build the rear soundfield, and an integrated rear-mounted subwoofer section derived from the company's Shockwave design handles the low bass. The ULTRA series suite of controls tailors each driver's output individually for room integration, and the optional Foundation Hybrid Bass amplifier is rated at 1200 watts.
