The VR.thirty is the latest addition to Von Schweikert's VR series of full-range loudspeakers, pairing three 7-inch ceramic honeycomb woofers with a low-mass ceramic midrange, the company's signature beryllium dome tweeter, and a rear-mounted ambient-retrieval ribbon driver. Crossovers are hand-built point-to-point and wired throughout with MasterBuilt Reference cabling inside a triple-wall laminate cabinet. It can be built fully passive or with the Foundation Hybrid Bass System, in which an 800-watt amplifier powers the woofers while the full signal stays in the analog crossover network, preserving the character of the main amplifier while adding in-room bass adjustment.
