The MS-1 is Matrix Audio's flagship music streamer and the founding model of the M Series, built around dual AK4191 and AK4499 chipsets arranged as a full dual mono design on opposite sides of the H-shaped CNC aluminum chassis. A DPLL clock circuit generates the audio clock with jitter as low as 45fs, and a 10MHz input accepts an external reference clock. Line, MM/MC phono, and digital inputs, IIS-LVDS digital output, an SFP fibre network port, and an internal NVMe SSD slot round out the platform. It runs MA Player, the company's Linux-based streaming system controlled by the MA Remote App, and is Roon Ready with AirPlay 2, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, and Spotify Connect.
