The Cusis M is the flagship of Michell's moving coil cartridge range. Its generator uses a samarium-cobalt magnet combined with pure iron for a stable magnetic field, coils of 30-micron pure copper wire wound on an ultra-lightweight armature, and a boron cantilever carrying an ultra-precise Microline stylus. The body is machined from carbon-loaded acrylic — the material Michell uses in its turntable platters — over a rigid one-piece aluminium chassis, chosen to damp resonance and airborne vibration.
