The PD-507T is the Reference 500 series CD transport, built around TEAC's in-house CD-5020A drive mechanism, a design with a long track record in professional broadcast use. The mechanism sits in a semi-floating mounting structure with a specially designed drive circuit, separate power supplies serve each clock and digital output, and unused outputs can be switched off. Coaxial and optical outputs feed any DAC with digital inputs, and a BNC input accepts a 10MHz reference from a master clock generator such as the CG-10M-X.
