The TN-4D-SE is a direct-drive turntable using a low-profile brushless DC motor with crystal-locked, feedback-controlled speed regulation driving a die-cast aluminum platter at 33-1/3 and 45 rpm. Its S-shaped tonearm uses a knife-edge pivot bearing developed with tonearm maker SAEC and takes universal head-shells, with a SUMIKO Oyster MM cartridge installed from the factory. A built-in MM phono stage using the NJM8080 op-amp makes the output switchable between phono and line level, and the high-density MDF plinth is finished in piano black or natural walnut veneer.
