The UD-507 brings the 700 series design concept into a compact A4-size chassis, pairing TEAC's "TRDD 5" discrete DAC with a fully balanced dual monaural headphone amplifier. The TEAC-HCLD2 high-current line driver delivers 1,200mW per channel into 100 ohms from the balanced outputs, with 4-pin XLR, 4.4mm Pentaconn, and 6.3mm jacks and three-position gain. As a preamplifier it combines the TEAC-QVCS volume control with five digital and two analog inputs, handles 22.5MHz DSD and 384kHz/32-bit PCM over USB, and accepts a 10MHz external clock.
