The SI-1 is an audio-grade network isolator that places active optical-electrical isolation between a router or switch and a streamer or DAC. A dual-channel optical architecture separates the sending and receiving paths, two femtosecond clocks handle retiming, and the isolated output port breaks electrical continuity entirely, blocking ground loops, mains noise, and surge paths from reaching connected equipment. Power comes from a linear supply with a dual-winding potted toroidal transformer, housed in a CNC unibody aluminum enclosure.
