The Wavedream NET combines a high-performance audio server with a memory-based CD transport in one machine, designed as the natural source for the Wavedream DAC over its HD-Link I2S connection. An FPGA digital audio core streams all audio data into a large RAM buffer and clocks it out against an ultra-low phase noise masterclock, with disc playback handled by the FPGA in exclusive mode, fully separated from the server side. The embedded Linux server is galvanically isolated from the audio circuitry, the power supply is linear-only throughout, and internal SSD storage of 1TB or 2TB is standard with 4TB available on special request. Software services include Roon Server, MPD, UPnP/DLNA, AirPlay, HQPlayer NAA, and disc ripping to local storage.
